Dallas City Hall shared that the recent ransomware attack on the city’s computer networks did not expose the personal information of any city employees or residents.
The hacker group “Royal” has now posted a message online in which they claim they did get access to private data.
The group shared that it plans on proving it “soon.” However, the city says it has ways to protect its data from ransomware attacks.
As for now, it appears to be a waiting game to see if Royal has any merit behind its threats.
