THE Data Protection Commission says it is taking keen interest in the increasing number of hacking incidences, especially among financial service entities. Yesterday, the Bank of Zambia (BoZ) confirmed the hacking of its Facebook page and urged members of the public not to interact with the affected page until further notice. Responding to a press query, Monday, Data Protection Commission Data Commissioner Likando Luywa said the commission was sending security auditors to both BoZ and NAPSA to proactively reaffirm that the measures instituted by the entities were sufficient to counter hacking threats. “The Data Protection Commission is taking keen interest in the increasing number of incidences of hacking.
