Cybersecurity researchers claim 3,2020 government emails have been leaked. The report claimed that the email IDs of 11 departments, including the Bhabha Atomic Research Center and the Ministry of Information, exist on the dark web. Sai Krishna Kothapalli, an IIT-Guwahati alumnus and founder of the cybersecurity startup Hackrew, has claimed this data leak. Kothapalli has claimed that e-mail IDs of several departments of the Government of India exist in text format on the dark web.

He has claimed that the Dark Web has contained 1.8 billion e-mails and passwords for the last 4 years. According to Kothapalli, “There is no way to remove these data from the Dark Web. According to the Kothapalli report, the maximum number of e-mail IDs of the Indira Gandhi Atomic Research Center has been leaked, 365. 325 email IDs and passwords of the Bhabha Atomic Research Center have been made public. This is followed by 157 from the Security and Exchange Board of India, 132 from the Government of Gujarat, 111 from the ISRO Satellite Center, 109 from the Raja Raman Center for Advanced Technology, 106 from the Satellite Applications Center, Ahmedabad, 80 from the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, 48 from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. , 45 E-mail IDs of Ministry of Information and 40 of Wildlife Institute of India have been leaked.
