Tottenham Hotspur could only walk away from Turf Moor with a point today in the Premier League after coming from behind to secure a 1-1 result.
Let’s take a look at the five players who did their side proud against Sean Dyche’s men:
Giovani Lo Celso –
The list could really start and stop with this man. He was on a different level to any other Spurs player on the pitch. The Argentine came on at half time and changed the game, running the show from deep and even nearly stealing the win with a curled effort.
Dele Alli –
I thought the England man was much better today. He dropped deep in a false nine position and picked the ball up in between the lines, before turning and causing problems. Not a complete performance from him, but definitely a step in the right direction and a nice penalty to boot.
Lucas Moura –
The Brazilian came on at half-time and was an absolute live wire in attack. Say what you want about him, he collects the ball and commits defenders. Moura won a number of free-kicks in good positions and created some great chances along the way.
Steven Bergwijn –
Steven Bergwijn ran his socks off against Burnley today. The winger was by no means at his most dangerous, but the fact that he ran for 90 minutes after his long efforts against Norwich should be mentioned. Such a fantastic mentality on this kid.
Oliver Skipp –
This kid is mature beyond his years. Always looking around him and is constantly able to pass the ball to his teammates without taking a touch. His passing is often positive and forward, but he isn’t above helping his teammates in defence. Clearly willing to run through brick walls for Spurs.
