PREVIEW

The Seattle Seahawks haven’t defeated the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field in the current millennium. The Seahawks will get another opportunity to snap a long losing streak at Lambeau when they take on the Green Bay Packers on Sunday (3:40 p.m. PT/6:40 p.m. ET, FOX) in a NFC Divisional Round playoff.

You can watch the live stream of the game on foxsportsgo.com with your cable provider login, or you can watch on Hulu Live (free trial) or watch this game live for FREE with FuboTV (free trial).

The Seahawks advanced to the Divisional Round following a tough 17-9 win against the Philadelphia Eagles. Quarterback Russell Wilson, who three for 325 yards and a touchdown, connected with wide receiver D.K. Metcalf, who caught seven passes for 160 yards and a touchdown. The aerial connection more than made up for the Seahawks’ anemic run game, which finished with 64 yards on 26 carries. They’ll need to do much better than that to take some pressure off Wilson. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said running back Marshawn Lynch is ready to shoulder more of a workload, which could spark the rushing attack against the Packers, which allowed an average of 4.7 yards a carry this season, ranking 24th in the league. The Seahawks have lost eight consecutive games at Lambeau Field, with their last win coming in November 1999. However, the Seahawks’ win at Philadelphia pushed their road record to a franchise-best 8-1.

The Packers are rested after earning a first-round bye. They were tied with the Baltimore Ravens for the NFL lead with seven wins at home during the regular season. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers had a rather ordinary – for him – season, with 26 touchdown passes, four interceptions and his passer rating was 95.4, his lowest since the 2015 season. Rodgers didn’t have to be “Mr. Everything” this year. Running back Aaron Jones posted a huge season with 1,084 rushing yards with 16 touchdowns. Jones also caught three touchdown passes and his 19 total touchdowns led the NFL. Jones should be able to exploit the Seahawks’ run defense, which ranked 22nd in the NFL. The defense ranked ninth in scoring and the unit’s 81.1 passer rating was sixth in the NFL. Linebackers/edge rushers Za’Darius Smith and Preston Smith combined for 25.5 sacks.
