MISSION VIEJO, CA — Authorities sought information from the public on a Santa Ana man accused of sending “lewd content” to a minor from south Orange County Tuesday, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Deputies were dispatched to the City of Mission Viejo on Friday, Jan. 19 in response to reports of a minor who had been receiving the content from a man.
After further investigation, 23-year-old Arian Fabian Ortega, of Santa Ana, was arrested by Orange County Sheriff’s deputies. He was accused of arranging through a ride-share company to travel to the City of Lake Forest to pick up the minor to take him to his home in Santa Ana to have sex, authorities said.

He was booked into Orange County Jail on multiple charges related to sexual communication with the intent to seduce a minor for sexual conduct.
According to Orange County Sheriff’s investigators, there may be additional people victimized by Ortega. Anyone with information was encouraged to call 714-647-7000.

“The Sheriff’s Department encourages parents to talk with their children about online safety and the importance of reporting inappropriate communication to a trusted adult,” the OCSD said in a statement. “Parents should be mindful of the content within their children’s cell phones, computers, etc. If a parent believes they need law enforcement assistance, please contact your local police department for support.”
