Disaster Recovery/BackUp Admin

Details: Description Implements and supports backup and recovery solutions for systems in a diverse hardware environment across geographically separate data centers. Installs, configures and maintains related software and systems. 1. Provide technical support for installing, configuring and maintaining NetBackup implementations. 2. Perform NetBackup administration duties including backup job maintenance and monitoring, handling restore requests, monitoring and resolving alerts, troubleshooting, tuning and user access administration. 3. Monitor and tune the recovery systems to achieve optimum level of performance. Provide performance data statistics to management and other team members. 4. Configure and monitor archive retention policies. 5. Configure and monitor replication processes. 6. Develop and maintain effective customer relationships. 7. Maintain regular and predictable attendance. 8. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Experience and Skills • 3-5 years experience in systems backup and recovery technologies and tools. • Ability to translate business needs and problems into technical solutions. • Competent project management skills. Demonstrates an ability to evaluate project objectives and scope for feasibility and understanding. • Effective oral and written communication skills. • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work well within a team environment. • Ability to work independently and coordinate activities within a team. • Ability to multi-task.
