Few details so as not to put hackers on the post of this flaw

In long version

: This update fixes a major security issue, referenced as (CVE-2022-307), it corresponds to an issue with Mojo, a runtime library in Chromium, a major component of the Google Chrome browser. Mojo facilitates communication between different browser processes.

Google remains discreet about the details of this flaw, however the American firm provides some information:

We will also keep these reservations if the bug exists in a third-party library, which other projects depend on, […] but which has not yet been corrected adds the web giant.

It’s likely that information about the vulnerability is hidden for now to prevent hackers from taking advantage of it before most Google Chrome users have had a chance to apply the update.

The SingCERT team advises users ” immediately install the latest security updates (…) users are also encouraged to enable the auto-update feature in Chrome to ensure their software is updated quickly “. This flaw was originally submitted anonymously to Google by an anonymous cybersecurity researcher who will receive a bug bounty, the amount has not been decided at this time.
