After a week of heavy rains and rising waters in Iowa, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has made available $750,000 in emergency relief funds to assist with the cost of repairing damaged roads. The relief funds will be allocated from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to reimburse Iowaâ€™s Department of Transportation for emergency repairs done during and in the aftermath of the flooding.
