If you’ve never successfully folded a fitted sheet, you’re not alone. Many of us just lob it into a rectangle-ish shape and call it a day before chucking it in the linen closet. But it’s actually pretty simple. To fold a fitted sheet, slip your hands into both corners on the top-hand side. Then take the corner on your right hand and flip it so it is inside out and slip it into the corner pocket on your left hand. Lay this half of the sheet down and repeat the process on the bottom side. You should now have two corners in your bed sheet. Take one on your left hand and the other on your right, then flip the right over the left. This will give you four neatly stacked corners. From here, you just need to fold it twice and you should get a perfect rectangle.
If you’re also drying a top sheet, fold it as well to further prevent any tangles. Pillowcases only need to be shaken out before tossing them in; adding a few dryer balls into the mix is also helpful. After that, you dry the sheets as normal and you should have perfectly dried, tangle-free bed linens. And this doesn’t seem to be a fluke TikTok cleaning hack.
