HERKIMER — Herkimer Elks Lodge #1439 will present a Classic Car Show to help fight cerebral palsy from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5 in Myers Park, North Park Place.
Registration starts at 9 a.m. and ends at noon. There will be trophies for best in show, best interior, best paint, best engine, Elk’s choice, a veterans’ trophy and first and second places in 23 classes. Professional judging is by Obsessed Car Detailers. The event is open to the public and features the Herkimer Police Department Child Safety Seat Unit, the Fort Herkimer Amateur Radio Club, Bahama Mama’s ice cream, deejay Sal Stokes, a 50/50 raffle, and hot dogs, hamburgers, hot sausage with peppers, fried dough, and water, all available for purchase.
