The father of two siblings who were violently abducted from their Greece foster home is now facing charges in connection with the kidnapping, Greece police announced late Saturday night.

Dimitri Cash Sr., 29, is charged with second-degree kidnapping, first-degree burglary, and second-degree robbery, each felonies, in the “forcible” abduction of his children, Dimitri Jr., 5, and Shekeria, 3, Monday night from their home on English Road.

The children were located by federal law enforcement officials less than 48 hours later in Montgomery, Alabama. They were unharmed.

Kimara Pluviose, 32, was apprehended as she drove away from the Alabama home where officials tracked the children. Dimitri Jr. and Shekeria were found underneath a blanket on the floorboard of the backseat.

Pluviose is also charged with second-degree kidnapping, first-degree burglary, and second-degree robbery. She is currently being held in Alabama, while Cash was arrested Saturday morning and is being held in the Monroe County Jail on $100,00 cash bail or $300,000 bond.

Dimitri Jr. and Shekeria were abducted at 8:40 p.m. Monday, triggering an Amber Alert. Officials were able to track a vehicle rented locally to a home in Alabama. And within two hours of tracking the vehicle, the children were rescued.

“We know you will have many other questions regarding the details of this case but important investigative steps still need to occur before we can release more information,” Greece police said in a release.

The siblings were “forcibly” and “violently” removed from their foster home on English Road around 8:40 p.m. Monday by two masked, unidentified suspects. Police have not yet publicly identified these two suspects. But Greece Police Chief Drew Forsythe said earlier this week that blood evidence was recovered at the scene.

Police have not revealed if the two masked suspects are in custody. Officials also haven’t released how Cash or Pluviose were allegedly involved in the kidnapping. It’s unclear how the two suspects in custody know each other.

Dimitri Jr. and Shekeria were abducted from their Greece home during bedtime Monday, after two men broke through a window and restrained their foster mother with duct tape. Five other foster children were in the home. All of the kids are under the age of 10.

Court documents also allege that the intruders pushed the foster mother, who was duct taped to two children, down the basement stairs within the house and struck her multiple times.

The Amber Alert was activated just before midnight Monday. The alert was cancelled at 6:17 p.m. Wednesday, according to New York State Police.

“We believe, based on the investigation, this was a planned and targeted abduction,” Forsythe said Tuesday.

Marshal Charles Salina, from the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force, said officers in Alabama set up surveillance on the home where they had tracked the rental car.

Forsythe said Wednesday that Cash Sr. was a person of interest. Cash Sr. has misdemeanor charges pending from a January 2020 incident where he is accused of abducting his son from Autumn Lane Elementary School in Greece.
