The FBI is sending out an alert of cybercrimes targeting seniors in Arizona.
The agency says there has been an uptick in crimes targeting people over the age of 60.
Some of the most popular scams include advance fee schemes, investment fraud, tech support, grandparent scams, and romance scams.
According to the latest FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center or I-C-3 report, residents over the age of 60 made up the majority of Arizona cyber-crime victims in 2020 at 3,053 and accounted for the most adjusted losses more than $27 million.
