CARLISLE — Adam Karcher, deputy director for the FBI’s National Cyber Investigative Joint Task Force in the Office of Data Exploitation, will take part in a panel discussion on fraud and identity theft at 6 p.m. Thursday at YWCA Carlisle, 301 G St.
The panel discussion, sponsored by INVEST at Cornerstone Federal Credit Union, is aimed at educating individuals to identify potential threats and tips to prevent identity theft.
Karcher, who oversees the acquisition and analysis of domestic cyber threat data, will be joined on the panel by a victim of identity theft.
“Together with Cornerstone FCU, we believe that the more individuals are informed, the better able they are to protect themselves,†said Christina Ward, INVEST representative. “And, it is because of our commitment to financial education that we are providing the community with a more in-depth understanding of this timely topic.â€
The event is free and open to the public.
