FOUNTAIN, Fla. (WMBB) – On Wednesday, a Fountain man was found guilty of sexually abusing a child over a period of years and given multiple life sentences.

58-year-old, Jeffrey Alan Khan was found guilty of three counts of sexual battery on a minor and two counts of lewd or lascivious molestation.

Circuit Judge Brantley Clark gave Khan life sentences on each of the three sexual battery charges. Judge Clark also gave Khan life sentences for each of the three sexual battery charges, running concurrently. He was also sentenced to life on each of the two molestation charges, running consecutively to the first sentences, state officals wrote.

In 1997, Khan was sent to prison and designated a sexual predator for a South Florida Lewd and Lascivious Indecent Assault on a child under 16. Khan also committed crimes against a pre-teen girl between 2018 and 2020, according to a news release.

In 2021, the Bay County Sheriff’s Office arrested him after the attacks were disclosed.

“When you commit a crime like that in Bay County, we are going to do our best to make sure you never have a chance to victimize another child. This defendant will not,” Prosecutor Frank Sullivan said.

The victim, in this case, testified at the trial, and after jury deliberations, Khan was found guilty as charged.
