Billionaire investor George Soros has made significant changes to his investment portfolio, according to a recent Securities and Exchange Commission filing. Soros Fund Management has reported new positions in several key companies while reducing stakes in others.

Soros has acquired a 250,000-share position in Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) and purchased 10,000 shares of Nvidia Corp. (NVDA), both of which are AI chip makers. Additionally, Soros has bought 10,000 shares of Microsoft Corp. (MSFT), an investor in OpenAI’s ChatGPT generative artificial intelligence.

In contrast, Soros has completely sold off his stake of 170,000 shares in Salesforce Inc. (CRM) and sold 38,500 shares of Snowflake Inc. (SNOW).

Soros has also increased his holdings in cybersecurity companies. He has raised his stake in Cloudflare Inc. (NET) by 200% to 600,000 shares, Okta Inc. (OKTA) by 94% to 971,000 shares, and Rapid7 Inc. (RPD) by 105% to 8.2 million shares. This indicates Soros’s growing interest in the cybersecurity sector.

Furthermore, Soros has increased his position in Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) by 8.9% to over 769,000 shares. However, he has reduced his stake in Walmart Inc. (WMT). Soros has also divested from Netflix Inc. (NFLX) and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS).

It is worth noting that Soros has previously expressed his concerns about artificial intelligence, stating, “I am instinctively opposed to AI, but I don’t know how it can be stopped.”

These changes in Soros’s investment portfolio suggest his strategic shift towards AI chip makers and cybersecurity companies.
