Two brothers Rajesh Gupta and Atul Gupta, popularly known as Gupta Brothers, have been arrested from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Gupta brothers were caught by the enforcement officers and now further action is being discussed. Both of them are considered close to former South African President Jacob Zuma. It is alleged that both of them were also involved in robbing South African companies along with Jacob Zuma.
Recently, a South African commission of inquiry said in its report that the Gupta brothers not only used former President Jacob Zuma against the people of the country but also got their special people appointed in major institutions. The report also said that these two brothers did all this under a big conspiracy and worked against the interests of the people of South Africa.
The Gupta Brothers used Jacob Zuma fiercely
These arrests of the Gupta brothers came a year after the uae signed an extradition treaty with South Africa. According to the investigation report, the Gupta brothers had assumed that Jacob Zuma could be used to get their work done. It was also said that former President Jacob Zuma had opened the doors of state-owned companies to the Gupta brothers and helped them gain access to the wealth and money of the people of South Africa.
According to the report of the Commission of Inquiry, whatever the Gupta brothers wanted, they used to get all the work done by Jacob Zuma. Both of them fired many ministers and senior officials and appointed their special people there. After this, the Gupta Brothers used to get those people to do the work of their own free will.
