A 70-year-old London man was named in a four-count indictment charging him with sex offenses against a toddler.
Lanny Hacker of Victor-Mitchell Road was indicted on Friday by a Laurel grand jury on charges of first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, incest and first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor.
Hacker was arrested on Aug. 31 by Laurel County Sheriff’s officials and taken into custody on the charges in which he is accused of having sexual contact with a 2 1/2 year old child. The offenses are listed on the indictment as having occurred on Oct. 1, 2022. The unlawful transaction charge claims that Hacker knowingly assisted or caused the child to “engage in activity involving sexual activity and alcohol.”
Hacker has been held in the Laurel County Correctional Center since his arrest. His bond is set at $100,000 cash. He is scheduled to appear in Laurel Circuit Court on Dec. 4.
