Tihmstar is one of the smalltime hackers in an otherwise pretty huge jailbreak industry where hackers like the gurus of BigBoss repository rule the world. But since the jailbreaking activity is pretty much in decline, and hackers refusing to release a hack publicly and sell it to Apple or a third party, just about anyone who get the job done for the public is a hero.
Tihmstar has just shown-off an iOS device running on iOS 10.3.3 x32 bit jailbroken. The news came in form of a simple tweet that only offered a photo, but that photo told the story of a thousand words. The photo showed the Cydia application running on an iPhone, which is no big deal. However, one thing that caught everyone’s eyes was the iOS version number.
Suffice to say, it this image is not fake, and Tihmstar has not shown off this image just to attract third-party buyers who would like to buy his exploit, then we may start expecting a jailbreak for the iOS 10.3.3 devices. The only downside to this image is that the iPhone running Cydia of iOS 10.3.3 jailbroken was an iPhone 5, this may imply that the jailbreak will only e available for the 32-bit devices while the users who have the newer hardware may still be left out.
But, no matter if this jailbreak is available for everyone or just the owners of 32-bit devices, a jailbreak coming to the community at all is good news. Tihmstar – however less popular he may be compared to other hackers – has a lot of experience in jailbreaking. And if Tihmstar has posted a picture publicly, there isn’t enough reason to doubt this developer’s credibility.
