Hackers paralyze Netflix and threaten Election Day

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Last Friday, October 21, a massive cyber attack paralyzed several popular internet sites in the United States, including Twitter, Amazon, CNN, and Netflix.

Director of National Intelligence James Clapper believes that this was a non-state attack, meaning the attacker was likely an individual or group as opposed to another government. With October marking National Cyber Security Awareness Month, many individuals are wondering what steps they can take to keep their own online networks safe and secure.

Scott Schaffer of Blade Technologies joined us at Fox 2 News in the Morning to discuss the cyber attack, provide tips on securing your own network, and examine whether or not cyber security should be a concern this election day.
