Hackers post porn link on Devon and Cornwall Police Facebook page

Computer hackers posted a pornographic picture of a woman enjoying herself in a supermarket – on a police social media site.

Officers immediately deactivated the Facebook site of Saltash neighbourhood police after it was hacked into and the graphic image was posted sometime overnight.

The video link showed the image of a young woman squatting down in what appears to be the liquor aisle of a supermarket, in a state of partial undress, and carrying out a sex act on herself.

Supt Ian Drummond-Smith, police commander for East Cornwall said the hacking was spotted by a neighbourhood PCSO who logged in this morning.

Supt Drummond-Smith said: “PCSO Kirsty Down saw it this morning and deactivated it straight away.

“It would appear the neighbourhood team’s site was hacked.

“Hopefully they will be able to reactivate it again soon with all the community information rather than launch a new one and start from scratch.

“It was definitely a computer hack and not us putting up the post.

t’s a timely reminder for everyone not to click on links from people you were not expecting communication from.”
