The Facebook page of Philippine Rice Research Insitute (PhilRice) was hacked Friday night.

“To our followers on Facebook, please be informed that our official page has been hacked since Friday night, October 3. Please ignore the posts as we resolve this issue. We also encourage you to report the posts by clicking the three dots beside the name of the page. Thank you,” the message from the popup read.

Instead of posts regarding developments or studies on rice, PhilRice’s page was filled with videos that are not related to the aim of the government agency.

As of this posting, the said Facebook page, based on the posts remains in its hacked state.

So far, no group or individual has come out to claim responsibility for the hacking.
