According to Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga, it is illegal for a school to continue operating after the Presidential Directive on closure of schools.
Speaking to the Press at CP Headquarters in Naguru on Monday, Enanga revealed that police was tipped off by a concerned resident.
“11 pupils were found in the school. Even their parents were fearing to collect them from police because they had to record statements as to why they permitted an illegality to continue,” he said.
The head teacher, identified as Ndibalekela Juliet, was later arrested.
Teachers arrested are; Nankabilwa Cissy, Kyaligonza Bernard, Ntebenkene Ackol, Naicitwe Ronald and Mukasa Frederick.
Ministry of Health has identified schools and travelling as super spreaders of the corona virus.
“The arrested persons are being charged with acts of negligence in a manner likely to spread the Virus,” Enanga said.
