HOME MAN FOUND GUILTY AFTER FAILING TO REGISTER WITH MEGAN’S LAW | #childpredator | #kidsaftey | #childsaftey

A man from Home who was previously convicted of indecent assault was found guilty Wednesday afternoon after failing to register as a sex offender.

Indiana County District Attorney Robert Manzi said 60-year-old Robert Adams was found guilty of not registering under Megan’s Law. This stems from an incident in November 2020, when members of the Pennsylvania State Police attempted to complete a quarterly registration process but found he was not living at the address he provided.

During their investigation, troopers discovered he was living at a different property which contained children, which violated terms of his parole.

Adams was originally convicted of indecent assault in 2019 and was deemed a “sexually violent predator” by the Court of Common Pleas. That designation required him to register an address and other related information four times a year. Troopers would then advise community members that a sexual predator was living nearby.

Adams will report for sentencing January 19th at 8:30 a.m. before Indiana County President Judge Thomas Bianco.
