How convicted sex offender Nicholas Rossi was inspired by a backpacker when becoming an evil faker | #childpredator | #onlinepredator | #sextrafficing

SEX predator Nicholas Rossi was inspired to take false identities by a backpacker who faked an Irish accent to get work in Europe, it was claimed last night.

The fiend is said to have been impressed by the plan to get jobs during a trip by the tourist, which included a visit to the UK.

And it is believed Rossi may have later have been inspired by the plan to adopt an Irish accent himself to avoid rape charges in America.

A source said: “The backpacker had used Irish work papers belonging to a friend so they could earn money for a very short period of time.

“Rossi was very interested to hear how the traveller used an Irish accent so they could work.”

The 36-year-old is wanted in Utah to face rape charges.

But he claimed to be Irish-born orphan Arthur Knight and a victim of mistaken identity.

A court in Scotland ruled earlier this month that he can be extradited to the US.

During extradition proceedings he spoke with an English accent.

An Irish accent was heard when he referred to his apparent childhood.

He travelled to Dublin from the US in 2017, but made his way to Glasgow where he lived using the name Arthur Knight.

He was being treated in a Glasgow hospital for Covid-19 when he was arrested in December 2021.

Prosecutors revealed he has at least ten aliases.

Authorities in Utah say he fled the US to avoid prosecution and attempted to convince investigators he was dead.

In 2008, while living in Ohio, Nicholas Rossi sexually assaulted a young woman at a college campus after meeting online.

This put Rossi on the US sex offender’s register, his DNA and fingerprints were now stored on a national database.

That conviction ultimately linked Rossi to the two alleged rapes in the state of Utah, but other alleged victims from Rhode Island and Ohio have spoken out about their experiences.

American cops urged Scots authorities to check his tattoos to quash his claims he was a victim of mistaken ID.

Rossi also at first denied having any tattoos on his upper arms.

But he changed his story to say he “awoke” from a coma to find his body had been tattooed while he was unconscious in hospital.
