It’s not the most attractive thing and quite frankly, can be pretty embarrassing.

So if you’re worried about getting hot and sweaty, fear not, you’ve come to the right place.

Thanks to one TikTok user and her clever hack, you won’t have to worry about ruining your clothes, as there will be no more sweat patches if you give this simple trick a try.

Posting on social media under the username @hdoddles, the young woman shares her easy summer tip and it’s left people very impressed.

And don’t worry, you won’t need to go out and buy a really expensive deodorant.

Even better, you may already have this product in your bathroom cupboard already.

The simple trick involves using panty liners – yes, you heard that correctly, to stop getting sweat patches.

The savvy woman shared her clip with the caption ‘Here’s a nifty hack for stopping sweat patches seeping through your clothes this heatwave.’

She said: “This is a summer sweat hack using two panty liners and for those of you saying ‘ew, panty liner, disgusting’ – stigmatising periods is disgusting.

“So basically, you’re going to want to turn a t-shirt inside out and make sure that you pull the arms out like this when you do it.

“Then you’re gonna want to take two panty liners, I say panty liners, not sanitary towels, because I think they stick better.

“Find the inside seam and peel the backing off the panty liner, then you gonna wanna line it up with the inside seam like that, press it down flat, make sure it’s stuck, and that it can fold comfortably.

“Do this on the other side too.

“It works with light and dark colours and then it stops you getting sweat patches under your clothes.

“This is a great hack and I would love to see you guys try it, or let me know if it worked for you.”

The woman’s clip has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 99,100 views.

It has 2,590 likes, 36 comments, 1,073 saves and 76 shares.

One person said: “Loveeee this I wonder if it works on different colour t-shirts? Soooo need to try” to which the woman replied “Definitely works on grey and khaki colours. It’s not too obvious on white shirts either.”

Another added: “You sure it doesn’t fall?” to which the savvy woman confirmed “If you stick the pad to the shirt it’s pretty reliable.”

A third commented: “I’m doing this tomorrow.”

If you want to give this a hack a go ahead of the hot weather this weekend, you can buy panty liners from any supermarket and many high-street beauty chains, including Boots and Superdrug.

You’ll find them the cheapest for just 40p, from Tesco, for a pack of 30.
