Indore police website hacked, pro-Pakistan messages posted | Indore News | #cybersecurity | #cyberattack | #cybersecurity | #infosecurity | #hacker

INDORE: The Indore police website was hacked on Tuesday and objectionable content and ‘Free Kashmir’ slogans pasted there. The hacker left behind his signature on the hacked page as ‘Muhammad Bilal Team PCE’ – a tag that has featured in previous hackings in the country, police said. It was seen in the hacking of the BJP Delhi unit’s website in November 2019, that of the Andhra University site in April 2018 and the BJP Goa unit the same year.
This time, the hacker posted pro-Pakistan messages and objectionable content in the ‘contact us’ section of Indore police website. Pictures of senior officers were replaced with images of desecration of the national flag. The police blocked the page and launched a full-scale investigation. “We are conducting a probe. Immediate action will be taken against the hacker,” IG Harinarayanachari Mishra said. Cyber cops are trying to track down the hacker.
