This position is specifically responsible for setting, and the ongoing management of the information security policies, procedures, and security related to automated system access and usage, in order to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information, in compliance with State and Federal Security Regulations. The Information Security Analyst must have a working knowledge of appropriate security including LAN/WAN, Libera System7, and Active Directory. The ISA will provide top tier help and support for Libera System 7 issues, security testing and role development The analyst also designs and recommends agency policy and procedures, participates in the Risk Management Team, and communicates security exposures and safeguards to management. Minimal supervision is required.
Knowledge of:
Management of both physical and logical information security systems. (Libera System 7 preferred)
Information security software capabilities and limitations
Information technology and telecommunications security trends, and practices
Systems analysis and computer operations
The development of data security policies and procedures in small to medium complex organizations and of IT Security Standards
The use and support of personal computer systems involving security related software products
Skill in: These skills are developed through educational and hands on work experience in the field of computers sciences, and IT security.
Management and supervisory techniques
Presenting technical information
Analyzing, creating, implementing and supporting solutions to applications/systems
Creation and administration of user systems/applications accounts
Interpersonal relations
Ability to:
Maintain confidentiality and integrity and comprehend complex State and Federal security regulations requirement then communicate them in meaningful terms
Think strategically and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Analyze business needs of the agency and apply the findings to make decisions on structure, types of technologies, and implement appropriate solutions based on business
IDEAL/PREFERRED CANDIDATE: Minimal educational credentials preferred are a bachelor’s degree in a related field or five years of experience appropriate to requirements of position.

Licenses/certifications: The candidate is required to obtain a security fingerprint clearance from the State of Arizona Department of Public Safety under the Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Law.

Note: This position directly maintains or has responsibilities to alter system functions and/or modify functions of computers and is subject to a background check clearance card investigation that meets DES requirements for a Level One card.
