Information Security Analyst

Responsibilities:Performs lead activities including planning and tracking projects and key task dates

Communicates and trains security and disaster recovery procedures to the IT staff

Develops recovery procedure models

Tests contingency capabilities; responsible for recovery exercise preparation


Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent training and experience; Graduate degree preferred
3-6 years experience in related field

Other Information:

Looking for highly technical hands-on Information Security Analyst with knowledge of security best practices, industry security standards, security technologies, cloud security and experience implementing and supporting information security solutions. Candidate must possess work experience in information security and threat analysis.

Primary Duties:

  • Monitor for, and respond to information security incidents through a variety of reporting mechanisms
  • Recommend security standards and implement them
  • Analyze business/technology requirements and outline the proposed technology solution
  • Participate in source code reviews and provide input to the design recommendations, incorporating security requirements to the overall design
  • Establish strong working relationships with other Technical Leads, Architects, Business Analyst, QA, Program/Project Managers and infrastructure engineers
  • Provide timely status updates and communicate risks to assigned project managers regarding the solution development
  • Manage individual workload to deliver agreed upon project milestones
  • Provides expert technical advice and counsel to management
  • Assess change implementation options, benefits and risks and recommends most appropriate direction
  • Provide technical input to project plans for Program/Project Managers
  • Take a leadership role in analysis and design of security technologies
  • Support disaster recovery exercises
  • Experience/Skills Required:
  • 3 + Years of work experience in information security
  • In depth knowledge of how to secure applications ensuring company data is protected and only accessed by authorized personnel
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Experience in supporting internal and external audits related to PCI and SOX
  • Experience with defining, documenting and recommending security considerations for emerging projects
  • Experience with Logging and Monitoring solutions
  • Experience implementing, tuning and monitoring SIEM systems
  • Experience with malware analysis and computer forensics
  • Experience with Network and Application Vulnerability testing
  • Experience with certificate management
  • Experience with information security incident response processes
  • CISSP, CISA, CEH or other relevant certification preferred
