As an Information Technology Specialist (Data Management you will:
1. Provide technical guidance in the development, acquisition support, and management of public health surveillance and related databases.
2. Direct the planning and acquisition of external data sources and the linkage of those data sources to existing and new databases.
3. Provide data management and analysis and advanced technical support to epidemiologists and others performing analyses of public health surveillance, special study and programmatic data.
4. Participate in the presentation or publication of results of analyses and other technical work done alone or in collaboration with other scientists.
Qualifications for Information Technology Specialist, (Data Mgmt.) GS-2210-14
Applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include experience providing technical guidance in the development, acquisition, support, and management of public health surveillance and related databases.
In addition to the qualifying specialized experience, you must have IT-related experience that demonstrates each of the following competencies: Attention to detail; Customer Service; Oral Communication; and Problem Solving.
