The forensic analyst will provide mid-level identity exploitation biometrics focused on DOMEX I2 exploitation, face matching adjudication and digital identity exploitation. Analyst will be responsible for producing intelligence reporting and data correlation in support of national databases.
Analysts will work under the direction of the Senior Intelligence Officer (SIO) to produce identity intelligence reporting and data correlation under guidelines and procedures established by the I2 and government lead. Analysts will conduct thorough identity exploitation of media, to include detecting, extracting, adjudicating and preparing identity attributes for dissemination to national databases. Analyst will maintain thorough understanding of all tools/systems used for identity exploitation of biometric and non-biometric identity attributes. Analysts will perform link analysis for identity attributes across NMEC holdings. Analysts will ensure all work is tracked in accordance with the I2 government lead guidelines. Ensures that SIO and I2 leads are aware of exploitation findings. Maintain continuity with partner organizations to ensure data sharing, and awareness of DOMEX policies & guidelines. Provide input to weekly staff meetings and briefings on exploitation progress. Interact with interagency partners on products and support services. Analysts will develop and train to stay proficient on operations to include adjudication of face matches. They will also provide input at weekly staff meetings and briefings on exploitation progress. Analyst will routinely interact with interagency partners on products and support services.
Analysts will be able to prioritize customer requests, committing maximum effort to high priority cases. Analysts should possess the ability to think critically but also creatively to enable out-of-the-box solutions to unique problems that may present themselves during the course of analysis. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of the IC, DoD, and community partners with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Candidates should possess excellent critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
– Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of digital identity or biometrics exploitation experience
– Experience producing intelligence reports, briefing products and responding to requests for information (RFI)
– Ability to prioritize, outline, and produce reporting on a time sensitive basis
– Must have excellent verbal communication skills for briefing & presentations
– Thorough understanding of computer forensics principals & file systems forensics tools.
– Must have an active TS/SCI clearance
Competitive candidates will typically possess prior biometrics experience, counterintelligence/HUMINT experience; Image manipulation including Photoshop/photography experience. Candidates that possess the ability to read/speak Arabic and middle-eastern languages are strongly encouraged to apply. Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face-to-face. Some travel may be required. May spend a lot of time standing due to laboratory conditions. May require deployment to hostile/austere locations.
