IT Development Manager

Overview 

Manages IT client Business Analysts ensuring compliance, project priorities, customer relationships, standards, and effective project management and/or manage IT employees. 

Responsibilities 

Leads and directs employees within the IT department 
Initiate regular and effective communication with Senior Management 
Set goals and maintain priorities within the department 
Manage workload, evaluate staffing levels, and make recommendations to Senior Management as necessary 
Ensure standardization of systems implementation, support techniques, adherence to formal processes, and total quality practices 
Create an atmosphere conducive to knowledge sharing and teamwork 
Collaborate proactively with other department managers to support the overall IT business goals 
Consult and partner with the Human Resources Department on all employee issues while supporting adherence to company policies and procedures 
Maintain concentration and focus in order to meet performance goals 
React positively to an ongoing, changing environment 
Demonstrate the ability to handle pressure when attempting to meet deadlines and performance goals 
Maintain good working relationship with assigned supervisors and coworkers 
Work safely without presenting a threat to self or others 
Perform additional duties as required by management 

Qualifications 

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Management Information, or similar. A minimum of 5 years’ experience and certifications in lieu of education may be substituted 

Experience:
2 + years as a Project Manager. Experience in advanced analysis, design techniques, and implementing multiple business applications 

Computer Experience:
Must be able to type quickly and accurately, use a mouse effectively, and have a basic understanding of Windows-based operating systems. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Office products. 

Skills & Abilities:
Expertise in written and oral communications and with IT systems 
Adheres to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and standards 
Exhibits strong teamwork, individual drive – highly motivated, flexible, articulate and eager to learn 
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple, concurrent projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
Ability to adapt and manage change quickly 
Strong inter-personal skills (listening, conflict management, negotiations) 
Strong analytical and problem resolution skills, organizational skills, and ability to analyze business problems 
Proficient in English 
Basic accounting knowledge required 
Manage time effectively 
Solve problems or issues that may come up 
Concentrate and focus for extended periods of time 
Cope with high-stress and changing environment 
Remain alert at all times 
Adhere to policies and procedures 
Adhere to work schedule to complete job responsibilities as assigned
