IT Operations Manager

In this position, the IT Operations Manager will e nsure that production IT systems and services continually meet business needs in a reliable and efficient manner.

Reporting to: VP, Information Systems

Location: Pasadena, TX

Job Duties:

  • Supervise and manage IT Support team
  • Manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation and disciplinary actions
  • Promote a focus on customer service excellence; ensure client requests are serviced promptly and courteously
  • Facilitate a positive customer experience; oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services
  • Verify existing business tools and processes remain optimally functional and value-added
  • Benchmark, analyze, report on and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems
  • Develop and maintain a corporate SLA structure
  • Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the Vice President of Information Systems

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 15+ years’ IT-related experience in lieu of
  • 8+ years’ experience in Operations or Support leadership role (e.g., Team Lead, Manager, etc.) 
  • Proficiency in systems administration, telecommunications, monitoring and backups
  • Strong collaboration and verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a customer service oriented mindset
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Prior experience managing within a growing organization numbering between 500-1,000 employees
  • Prior experience within the oil and gas industry
