
TOKYO — Japanese authorities on Friday told Fujitsu to come up with corrective measures following hacking of its cloud service, blaming poor governance for data leaks that affected at least 1,700 companies and government agencies.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications took issue with the fact that it took eight months for Fujitsu to discover the hack. Multiple data breaches occurred between March 2022 and November, before they were detected in December.
