Journalists calls to reduce penalties for 3 articles of Cybercrime Law

Ammon News – The closed session between Members of the Jordan Press Association (JPA) with Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament Ahmed Safadi ended.
According to a source, the JPA asked the Parliament to reduce penalties in Articles 15, 16 and 17 of the draft cybercrime law for the year 2023, related to publishing fake news or that includes defamation or rumors news.
Lower House Speaker Ahmed Safadi promised to look into the association’s demands.
