Jr. Information Security & Privacy Analyst

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Centrally configuring and administering the Networks critical information resources through the assignment of access control credentials
  • Assist in the review, testing and implementation of security plans, products and control techniques (e.g., password administration, log reviews, data encryption etc.)
  • Required to conduct corporate data and patient privacy investigations and report findings to appropriate management
  • Work on assignments as directed by the Security and Privacy Analyst III
  • Perform user profile maintenance
  • Must be able to correctly create, change, delete, deactivate, reinitialize, maintain and/or monitor user identification codes, passwords, and/or other system usage accounts and/or access codes
  • Provide technical support to clients, management and staff in risk assessments and implementation of appropriate data security procedures and products
  • Assist senior co-workers to evaluate, develop, and implement operational aspects of security standards, procedures and guidelines for multiple platforms and diverse systems environments (e.g., hospital-wide, distributed, client server systems, and e-applications)
  • Receives general supervision and is competent to work on most information security activities on their own, and requires only general direction for the balance of his/her activities
  • At times, Information Security and Privacy Analyst I may be asked to provide declarations, testimony or speak in front of regulatory agencies, local, state and federal enforcement agencies and other legal entities

If you possess the following, please apply:

  • Some college or technical school course work in computer usage and/or technology preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience working in an information technology related field desired
  • A comparable course work or technical tracks in security and information security may be considered in lieu of work experience
  • Basic understanding of information technology and security concepts
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must be proficient in the use of a personal computer, related peripheral equipment and business tools, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Previous exposure to business and/or healthcare related software applications
