Kentucky State Police arrest Henderson man for identity theft

HENDERSON, Ky. (WBKO) — A traffic stop in Henderson leads to an arrest.

Kentucky State Police say they were conducting a traffic stop just north of the North Bound Bridge in Henderson when contact was made with Joseph James of Henderson.

The trooper asked James for his license, and he said he didn’t have it on him.

James then provided the trooper with the name Zachary Bell, along with other information. When the information was checked, it was discovered Bell had a warrant for his arrest.

James was then placed under arrest for the warrant, and it was later discovered that James had given the trooper false information. It was also found that James had two active warrants for his arrest.

James was charged with traffic infractions, served the warrants and also charged with Theft of Identity without Consent.
