Kern Valley cross country runner Aspen Hacker is coming off a fantastic race at the High Desert League championship where she took the league title with a dominant time of 19:42. For that reason, Hacker is the Kern Valley Sun Athlete of the Week.
Hacker has been consistently the best runner on the Kern Valley cross country team this season, and has her sights set on on a division championship and a state title. She was the top runner in ever HDL meet during the fall.
“Aspen has the fastest times in Division 5 this season and will be a strong contender to win the division,” said Coach Kenny Bushling. “She looks to continue on to the state championships.”
Hacker will compete at the CIF Central Section Cross Country Championship on Nov. 16 at Woodward Park in Fresno. Congratulations Aspen, and good luck the rest of the way.
