Law Enforcement agencies focus on seat belt use this holiday season – Dailyfly | #childsafety | #kids | #chldern | #parents | #schoolsafey

The Lewiston Police Department is teaming up with the Office of Highway Safety (OHS) during the Thanksgiving Holiday to watch for motorists not wearing their seat belts. From November 17th through November 30th, agencies statewide will be conducting overtime patrols, educating and ticketing vehicle occupants that are not properly restrained.

Idaho law requires everyone in a vehicle to wear safety restraints. Children under the age of 7 must be in an approved child safety seat.

This year, we are thankful for seat belts. They save lives. Whether you are traveling near or far, make the choice to buckle up. Officers will be out to offer reminders to click it, don’t risk it.
