Law Enforcement, Fire and EMS to Conduct Safety Drills at River Bend School District in Fulton | #schoolsaftey

On Wednesday, November 15, starting at approximately 1:00pm, River Bend School District, along with local Law Enforcement, Fire, and EMS Departments will be conducting a drill in the area of River Bend Middle School.

During this time to allow for limited vehicle traffic in and out of the area, 12th St will be closed from 7th Ave north to 4th Ave, and access from 6th Ave onto 12th St.  Traffic Should be open on 12th Street by 4:00pm.

This drill will provide participants with an opportunity to assess capabilities, plans, policies, and procedures. It will focus on decision-making, coordination, and integration with other jurisdictions/ organizations during an active threat response.

The expected outcome of the exercise is to help establish proper direction and understanding for school staff and employees, strengthen interagency coordination, and identify any weaknesses and needs for improvement.

Local first responder agencies from the Gateway area, Whiteside County, and Carroll County will all be participating in this event.
