One of the newer pieces of malware circulating uses a fake U.S. Department of Justice intellectual property Web site to electronically hold a user’s computer hostage until they use electronic payments to release it.

Citadel malware, said IC3, delivers ransomware called Reveton to users in an attempt to extort money with the official-looking site, said the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3)
