Man (20s) arrested in Garda National Cyber Crime Bureau operation in Duleek | #cybercrime | #infosec

The man was taken to a Garda Station in County Meath, but has since been released without charge. 

A man in his 20s has been arrested after the Garda National Cyber Crime Bureau carried out an intelligence led operation in the Duleek area yesterday.

Following the search of a residence, the man was arrested in relation to the use of cryptocurrency accounts contrary to the Criminal Justice Act dealing with money laundering and terrorist financing.

The man was taken to a Garda Station in County Meath, but has since been released without charge. 

A file will now be prepared for the DPP and Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
