A man has been arrested for assaulting a special needs person and kicking a Laredo police officer, according to an arrest affidavit.
Jorge Moncivais III, 33, was arrested on the charges of assault on a peace officer, fail to identify, injury to a special needs person and resisting arrest.
On Dec. 11, police officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 100 block of South Loring Avenue. A man stated that his daughter’s boyfriend had assaulted him. Authorities identified him as Moncivais. He wanted to take the man’s vehicle, but he refused.
Moncivais refused to get on the ground. Once detained, he provided a fake date of birth. Moncivais then started resisting when he was being escorted to the patrol unit. As he was transported to LPD headquarters for booking, he kicked the plexiglass in the unit and the back of the officer’s seat.
Inside the booking room, he continued resisting and kicked an officer on the right side of his leg, according to court documents.
