Mishawaka’s police and fire departments promote safe driving for school safety | #schoolsaftey

MISHAWAKA, Ind. – The City of Mishawaka officials, along with their police and fire departments, kicks off “Cool Your Engines” – an initiative promoting safe driving as students return to school. 

Mishawaka police aims enforce school speed zone limits. 

They remind drivers to watch for yellow flashing school zone lights, which indicate students are present. 

Mishawaka police also emphasize the importance of eliminating distractions from cell phones while driving. 

The Mishawaka fire department will be present at schools during the student’s first week with their firetruck to promote safety awareness.
