Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Rochester man is in custody after being accused of sexually assaulting a young girl he knew through social media.

The criminal complaint, filed in Olmsted County Court on Monday, says Rochester Police took an initial report regarding the alleged sexual assault on Nov. 17. The charges were filed after investigators conducted two follow-up interviews with the young victim, who is under the age of 13.

The pre-teen girl told police she met 20-year-old David Ray Servin this past January. She said she would purchase THC vape cartridges from him, according to the complaint.

The charges say Servin picked the young girl up in October for the third THC vape cartridge purchase and drove them to McQuillan Park in Southeast Rochester. The girl told investigators that Servin sexually assaulted her while they were vaping the cartridges and listening to music in a vehicle at the park, according to the court document.

The complaint says officers arrested Servin and served search warrants on his northwest Rochester home, vehicle and a storage unit registered in his name.

Officers seized a black bag containing $6,866.00 in various denominations of cash and a 40 caliber Glock pistol that was reported stolen out of Robbinsdale in a storage unit and found $950 in cash and various THC and nicotine vape cartridges in Servin’s vehicle, the charges say.

Servin told investigators he knew the young victim and admitted selling THC vape cartridges to her but denied the sexual assault allegation.

Servin was charged Monday with one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and a felony count of receiving stolen property. His conditional bail was set at $100,000 and he’s due back in court next month.
