MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – A Child Safety Seat Check and Safe Child ID event will be held on Thursday, June 29 from 4-6:30 p.m. at Brooks Hall, 101 East Main St. in Morrisville (next to The Fort).
Trained staff will be there to make sure your child is in the correct car seat and that the seat is properly installed and used. Please arrive to the event with the car seat installed and bring the child with you if possible. No appointment is needed.
You may also get your child’s photo and fingerprints taken by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office to create an ID card that will help quickly provide important details to law enforcement if needed.
This event is sponsored by Madison County Public Health, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, University Police at Morrisville, and the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee.
“We know a top priority of parents and caregivers is keeping your child safe,” Chrystal Johnson, a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician and Public Health Educator with Madison County Public Health, said in a news release from the county. “We encourage families in the area to stop by this event to take advantage of these free services.”
