Izuku has come a long way, as has his classmates, and they start facing their biggest challenges in the anime’s third season. This is when the forest training camp begins, and the League of Villains makes its move. Even All Might will be called to the front lines, and this season’s best fights are listed here in rough order of how important and awe-inspiring they are. Which fights are the best of all?
10 Ochaco Uraraka Vs Himiko Toga
Ochaco Uraraka may have lost her duel against Katsuki Bakugo in the sports festival, but she’s still a tough contender in battle and got a chance to prove it when the League of Villains raided the forest training camp.
After learning new moves from Gun Head, Ochaco confronted the acrobatic Himiko Toga and outmaneuvered her knife, fearlessly pinning this blood-sucking villain to the ground. It was an impressive move, though Ochaco couldn’t stop Himiko from consuming a bit of her blood (which would be used later).
9 Students Vs Dirt Golems
When Class 1-A’s bus pulled over in the middle of nowhere, the students had no idea what to think. Then, the Wild Wild Pussycats told them to hike directly to the training camp through a forest.
Pixie Bob used her quirk to create dirt golems all over the forest, and every student in class 1-A used his or her quirk to do battle with these dummy targets for hours on end. It was exhausting, but it was a good chance for them all to show off their quirks, from lightning to tape to creating cannons.
8 Itsuka Kendo & Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu Vs Mustard
Mustard was among the weaker villains to face hero Class 1-A, but his quirk is not one to take lightly. This middle school boy can create deadly gases from his body, and this thick, noxious fog enveloped practically the entire forest.
With gas masks on, Itsuka and Tetsutetsu hunted down Mustard and confronted him, and Tetsutetsu bravely took a few bullets to help beat this villain. The heroes had guts and courage, while the villain was criticized for using a mere pistol in place of his own power. Mustard was soon vanquished.
7 Shoto Todoroki Vs Seijin High School Students
Shoto Todoroki found himself vastly outnumbered during the hero license exam, and he went up against ten or so students from Seijin High School, all of them dressed up like colorful ninjas.
These students knew Shoto’s powers and cornered him with their combined quirks (such as a quirk to enlarge objects). Shoto fought back as best he could with both fire and ice, and he set a clever trap that put all the Seijin students in position to get trapped by his ice.
6 Katsuki Bakugo, Ejijiro Kirishima, & Denki Kaminari Vs Seiji Shishikura
Seiji Shishikura is one of the top students from the famed Shiketsu High School, a rival to UA. His quirk allows him to morph anyone he touches into meatballs, completely helpless. He took out quite a few other trainee heroes like this already.
Bakugo, Kirishima, and Denki all faced off against him, and Seiji had the edge until Denki used his newest gadget to aim his lightning quirk and hit Seiji directly. This converted all the meatballs back into their original selves, and Seiji was soon beaten into submission.
5 Shoto Todoroki & Inasa Yoarashi Vs Gang Orca
Near the end of the hero license exam, a true test came up: the #10 hero, Gang Orca, posing as a villain (complete with backup). All this took place during an extensive rescue operation, and the student heroes weren’t sure what to do.
Shoto and Inasa took on Gang Orca, but often got in each other’s way, something that Gang Orca exploited. At the last minute, though, Shoto and Inasa cooperated fully to create a searing hot hurricane, which dried out Gang Orca and put him on the defensive. When the students actually cooperate, they are capable of remarkable feats.
4 Momo’s Group Vs Saiko Intelli
This girl is a student at Seiai Academy, a seemingly all-girls school with a distinct white uniform. Saiko is the ringleader of her entire squad, and with her advanced planning, she trapped Momo, Tsuyu, Kyoka Jiro, and Mezo Shoji in a freezing cold room.
Momo and her fellows fought back, and they turned the tables on this perfect trap just in time. Even when Saiko tried to seal Momo and herself in the room alone, Momo’s friends came right back for her, stunning Saiko with the power of their loyalty. Saiko was defeated at last.
3 Izuku Midoriya Vs Katsuki Bakugo
Katsuki Bakugo is a prideful student, and he can’t stand the idea of anyone showing him up, let alone the formerly quirkless Izuku Midoriya, his childhood friend. He demanded that Izuku meet him outside in the dead of night.
Tense words were exchanged, and Bakugo’s confused and angry emotions got the better of him. A tragic fight between friends took place, and Bakugo narrowly won until All Might came along. Bakugo may be Izuku’s antagonist, but he’s not the bad guy. It’s a complex and heartfelt situation, to say the least.
2 All Might Vs All For One
The world’s top hero clashed directly with the most fearsome villain of all, and this was in fact a rematch. All Might’s injury is All For One’s doing, and during this titanic clash, All Might continued to weaken.
All For One taunted his weakened opponent and pushed him to the brink until All Might reached deep inside and seized the last embers of One For All and manifested his remaining power as the almighty United States of Smash. The world’s biggest villain was finally vanquished, though it cost the last of All Might’s power to deliver that blow. The entire world cheered when this televised battle finally ended.
1 Izuku Midoriya Vs Muscular
This nighttime brawl is rather like All Might vs All For One but on a smaller scale. Even if the stakes are lower, this fight is a little more compelling because Izuku is the protagonist and is relatively untried as a hero. He doesn’t have years of experience and godly strength on his side, like All Might.
Young Kota was cornered when the massive villain Muscular arrived, and Izuku stepped in to protect him despite the overwhelming odds. Izuku pushed himself to the limit, and he unleashed a terrific 1,000,000% Smash to finally pummel Muscular into submission. Kota, who hated heroes up until now, fully acknowledged Izuku as “my hero.” It was a real turning point for the hero known as Deku.
