DEAR DEIDRE: MY friend says she saw my boyfriend’s profile on Tinder.
I’ve been going out with this guy for four months. He’s 37 and I’m a woman of 33.
He’s lovely but he lives 80 miles away from me so it’s a long-distance thing.
We haven’t seen one another since coronavirus kicked off but before then we were seeing each other once a week. Now we FaceTime lots.
I didn’t make a big thing of it when my friend said she’d seen him on Tinder, but I made a fake profile and checked him out.
The pictures were recent and it’s an active account.
Part of me wants to scream at him but this has knocked the stuffing out of me.

DEIDRE SAYS: It’s totally reasonable to comment that a friend saw him on Tinder but stay calm.
It is still early days.
If he’s updating his profile, maybe it’s because he doesn’t feel you’re official.
If being exclusive is make or break for you, spell that out.
If he wants to keep seeing you (albeit long-distance at the moment) then he needs to come off any dating sites.
