A woman is facing charges after hacking an Amazon account Monday, according to deputies.Click the video player above to watch other headlines from WXII 12 NewsThe Alamance County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into possible fraudulent charges of an Amazon account.The victim reported that a personal Amazon account had been hacked, and an item was purchased without consent.Detectives identified Jadyn Burton, 20, as a possible suspect.Burton had accessed the victim’s Amazon and attempted to purchase an item to be shipped to her own address.After working with Amazon security, the order was canceled, and the victim didn’t lose any money during this incident.Burton was then charged with felony identity theft and felony attempt to obtain property by false pretenses.Deputies say her bond was a written promise to appear.
