What You Will Do:

  • ​​​​Server as a Network Operations Manager overseeing a team of network technicians and engineers located in Morgantown, WV and Pittsburgh, PA.
  • Responsible for management of a network services team for operating, maintaining and enhancing an enterprise networking infrastructure environment.
  • Responsible for high-level network planning, design, and optimization.
  • Responsible for network planning, network architecture design and engineering.
  • Planning, forecasting, implementation, and identification of resource requirements for network systems.
  • Proficiency in working in a cross collaboration teaming structure with other IT infrastructure teams, including data center, storage, service desk, security, and applications.
  • Develops strategies and direction for network solutions and current and emerging technologies (wireless and VoIP).
  • Translates business requirements into network or process designs.
  • Integrates and schematically depicts communication architectures, topologies, hardware and software, transmission and signaling links and protocols into complete network configurations.
  • Plans and recommends network hardware, systems management software and architecture.  Approves and modifies network architecture to ensure compliance.
  • Configures and maintains routers, switches, and hubs for network systems (including wireless and VoIP).
  • Evaluates and recommends new products, maintains knowledge of emerging technologies for application to the enterprise.
  • Monitors network performance, ensures capacity planning is performed, and is proactive in assessing and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide technical assistance and knowledge during active network troubleshooting of the operational environment.
  • Provide technical write-ups and root cause analysis in the event of network degradations, outages, or anomalies involving UCS technology.
  • Performs trouble shooting procedures and designs resolution descriptions.
  • Monitor solutions and recommendations for compatibility with the IT Operations strategic direction.

What You Need:

  • CCNP active certification is mandatory and required.
  • Executive and technical level communication and presentation skills required.
  • Must have a minimum of 10+ years of data networking experience.
  • Must have a minimum of 10+ years in enterprise project/program management and managing network and other IT infrastructure technical teams and projects.
  • 10+ years experience – Enterprise level network support, architecture, and design required.
  • 8+ years experience – Enterprise level telephony support and design required.
  • Cisco VOIP experience and Wireless networking experience required.
  • Experience with major enterprise network infrastructure migrations required.
  • Deep technical knowledge working across multiple applications, operating systems and devices required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required as this position will work directly with the executive team.
  • Candidate should be an expert with multiple devices, operating systems and applications Sense of urgency, ability to trouble shoot complex problems is required.
  • All aspects of connectivity Cisco Nexus/IOS, VOIP, Video conferencing, 3G/4G, Wi-Fi, VPN, Citrix, ex. Brocade/Cisco Fiber Networking, etc.
  • Proven and demonstrable client (executive and line management) communications and presentation skills required​​.
